Our Story

From a YouTube channel born during the pandemic to a registered NGO serving the Dogra community — this is the story of Duggar Virsa.

How It Began

A Grassroots Initiative

In 2020, during the global pandemic lockdown, a small group of passionate individuals from Jammu started a YouTube channel and social media initiative to preserve and celebrate Dogra heritage. What began as a way to share Dogri folk tales, cultural stories, and language lessons on social media quickly captured the hearts of the Dogra diaspora worldwide.

As our audience grew and the demand for structured cultural programming increased, we realized that what had started as a passion project needed to become something more — an organized, mission-driven movement. In February 2026, Duggar Virsa was officially registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, formalizing our commitment to the preservation and promotion of Dogra heritage.
